We had an enjoyable stay overall, and there is a lot to like about this property. The location is fantastic, the views are beautiful, and the house itself is spacious. The bathrooms are lovely, and the underfloor heating was particularly appreciated during a cold Queenstown

However, there were quite a few details that let the property down and, taken together, made it feel as though some maintenance and attention to detail are overdue. The driveway is extremely steep, although fortunately we were able to park on the street. More disappointing was that the fireplace wasn't working. Coming to Queenstown in winter, a working fireplace was something we had really looked forward to and expected to be able to use. The kitchen could also do with some attention. The toaster was very temperamental, the crockery was chipped and mismatched, the knives were all blunt, there seemed to be hardly two matching forks, and the oven trays were sticky and did not feel properly clean. The master bedroom was probably our biggest disappointment. The mattress was very thin and felt worn through, and the bed linen was particularly poor. Rather than a proper duvet cover, the duvet inner was placed between two flat sheets. The extra blanket/duvet in the cupboard was around two sizes smaller than the bed, and there was only one bedside lamp. The television was also set up in Chinese and we couldn't work out how to change it, so we eventually watched the rugby by casting from our phones. None of these things ruined our stay, and the property has some genuinely lovely features. However, they are the kinds of details that make the difference between a property simply being in a great location and actually feeling well maintained and thoughtfully prepared for guests. With some relatively straightforward upgrades and a little more attention to the basics, this could be a fantastic Queenstown stay.

The stay was ok besides the fireplace and bed issues

The location was central to Queenstown the house accomodated the amount of people we had

The beds were uncomfortable. The main bedroom had two beds pushed togther which moved during the night. The two single beds were worn and had divet like laying on a deck chair. When I book the plqce advertised a fireplace including photos. On arrival the fireplace had a sign not working. Communication with the management stated they were waiting for the tradie to come and fix it. A day later they advised me that the fireplace was damaged by a previous tenant. The following day they tell me it was permanently not in use. The air conditioner in the loungeroom was inadequate old unit and the lounge are was cold. A small heater from a bedroom was placed upstairs to heat the room. Not good.

Nice property with all the facilities for a family holiday.

The location was perfect as it was in between the airport and the centre of town.

I have nothing bad to say about the property as the stay was perfect but the fact that we booked in April with a No Refund Clause and our family circumstances changing in the meantime, we could not get our money back and had to spend quite a lot of money for a one person stay.
