    Location perfect, potential in house but needs some TLC

    The location was perfect to Burghley House, the river & Stamford. It was lovely and quiet and good space, all rooms were a good size and great that had space for 2 cars. Also getting intouch with the owners was easy and they responsed really quick and were helpful!

    Main things for a comfy and happy stay (for me) are a good bed and good shower and unfortunately this house didnt have either. Luckily there was only 1 person sleeping in the main king bed as 1 half the bed was sunken and soft/broken while the other was firm. The double bed also wasn't very comfy, with the springs in the mattress being very pronounced. Single bed was comfy though! The upstaires shower wasn't very good, it was very weak. The downstairs one was better but still not overly power (but also its an old house so I dont expect a power shower) but they couldnt be on at the same time. Carpet needed a good clean (and not just a hoover) and there are only 3 seats in the living room, some of us sat on the floor so noticed it more, just a bit grubby. This house has the potential to be a great rental but unfortunately just lacking. It wasn't a terrible stay, it didnt ruin it but wouldn't want to spend a lot of money renting it

    We have stayed here several times because the quite location and having somewhere to park 2 cars is absolutely worth it weight in gold in Stamford!
