  Fantastic stay and even had a great view of local soccer tournament one night!

  We had a great week-long stay at Lana Apartment Petrovac as a large group of two families. The apartment offered plenty of space and privacy, which made it comfortable for everyone in our party. We especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, which included all the basic dishware, cooking essentials, and even starter items like toilet paper and dishwasher liquid, small touches that really made a difference. The family room and dining area were spacious and inviting, providing a great space for everyone to gather. Although we brought our own beach gear, it was thoughtful of the host to provide beach items for guest use. The apartment was nicely air-conditioned throughout, and we really enjoyed spending time on all three balconies, each offering a unique view and a quiet retreat from the busier parts of town. Being on the third floor, we were glad to have a reliable lift that made access to the unit easy and convenient. Another big plus was the private garage parking spot, a real bonus in the summer heat, offering both safety and shade for our vehicle. Overall, this was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and while we have a few small suggestions for improvement, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lana Apartment to others looking for a spacious, well-located place to stay in Petrovac.

  While the location was convenient and the apartment had potential, there were a few things that affected our comfort during the stay. Upon check-in, we noticed heavy dust amount on the headboard in the main bedroom and what appeared to be mold on the bed sheets, which didn’t feel freshly laundered, I ended up washing them myself to feel comfortable sleeping. The single pillows provided were very thin and uncomfortable, and there were only random blankets in the closet instead of proper duvet covers. I also found it difficult to cook more than one meal at a time due to the lack of an extra baking dish for the small oven, something that could be a helpful addition. These are small improvements that would make a big difference for future guests. Note, I did request for few extra pillows but that never happened so I had to improvise with using random toss pillows.

  We are shocked at the way we have been treated by the owner and manager

  The location was reasonable, within a short distance of 2 very good beaches. It is nicely laid out and seemed to be good for myself, my wife, 2 small grandchildren and their parents.

  We had a few initial problems, for example one of the toilets was not working. Sadly throughout our 12 day stay both were never working at the same time. One we had to flush with a bucket for 7 days. A repairman did appear once but bodged a repair which did not last. A few days into our stay all but one of our party were in the lift when there was a loud bang, the lift stopped and there was a burning smell. I was able to call the manager from the lift and she said she would sort something and then hung up rather abruptly. Fortunately for us the remaining member of our party was able to go to the fire station which was about 200 metres away. The manager later claimed to have phoned the fire station, but the firemen who attended told us she had not. They had in fact called her. They were able to rescue us after a very distressing 30 minutes, not least for our 3 and 1 year old grandchildren. We fully understand that things like this can happen, so our real complaint is the lack of care from the manager and owner both at the time and subsequently. Over the final few days of our stay we became aware of rodent droppings at various locations, including the children’s bedroom. To cut a long story short it culminated in a dramatic moment when we opened a kitchen cupboard to confronted by a rat. We sent a video to the manager, who again took no action. At 7am on our final day, just as we were leaving for the airport, the owner arrived. We took a gamble and opened the cupboard again and the rat was still there. The owner screamed and jumped back. When we had the initial problems with the toilets the owner had offered us 70 euros compensation provided we were prepared to tell booking.com we had not stayed there. She now increased this to 100 euros. On our return to the Uk a final offer of 130 euros was made. We found all these offers insulting and turned them down.

  Very nice apartment between two beaches, there were no problems to get to both even with a baby stroller Parking in the garage. Very friendly host I could recommend it to anyone
