  A stay let down by a hot water failure, 1 day early check out and unfair compensation!

  We liked that the host was there to check us in and showed around within the studio apartment. View from the apartment is good overlooking lake and mountains. Apartment is well equipped and has most things you need for cooking.

  Our stay was disrupted when the hot water stopped working partway through our trip. When we brought this to our host's attention, her first response wasn't to fix the problem or even commit to trying — it was to offer us an early checkout, one day ahead of schedule, with a refund for that night. How nice is that? Instead of addressing a basic amenity failure, the solution on the table was simply for us to leave. After we raised our concerns, she did offer to move us to another accommodation nearby, which we appreciated. That said, no traveller enjoys packing up and relocating mid-trip because of a problem that was never ours to deal with in the first place. In the end, our 4-night booking was cut down to 3 nights, one of which included a full day with no hot water. We were refunded for the night we didn't stay, which is only fair and should go without saying. Dealing with all of this added quite a bit of stress on our side too — having to check out at short notice and scramble to find another place to stay, bearing costs that were never ours to bear in the first place, is simply not fair on any guest. On WhatsApp, our host first suggested to refund an inconvenience fee of 147 EUR. We gave her a detailed breakdown of what we felt was fair — 217 EUR, factoring in the lost time, the change of plans, and the overall inconvenience caused. She then spoke to Booking.com and they managed to bring that figure down to just 47 EUR. How fair is that? To make matters worse, we've been calling and emailing Booking.com repeatedly since, and to this day we still haven't had a response. A few other things worth mentioning for future guests: we found the beds quite soft — you sink in more than you'd expect, so if you prefer a firmer mattress, keep that in mind. We visited in summer and unfortunately got bitten by mosquitoes every night, so pack some repellent.

  L'appartement est propre et spacieux. Il n'y a pas d'extérieur mais nous avons eu l'autorisation de nous installer dans les jardins extérieurs avec les sièges mis à disposition. C'était très agréable. La place de parking est un vrai plus. Nous n'avons manqué de rien.

  Sylvia est à l'écoute, très réactive et de bon conseil. La literie est très bonne, et la résidence est calme. On peut descendre à pied en ville.
