    It was perfect! 👍

    Miguel and his family are the perfect hosts! The hospitality and food were nothing short of amazing. The accommodation is spotless and the beds were the comfiest of our two week trip around northern Spain. We will definitely be back.

    I didn’t like having to leave, we should have stayed for two nights!!

    Absolutamente todo. Sería difícil mencionarlo todo. Ha sido una experiencia magnífica y extraordinaria. Ha superado las expectativas. La habitación, la ubicación, la limpieza, las instalaciones, el personal.... Recomendadísimo. Volveremos, sin duda.

    A very warm welcome in a lovely quiet location with secure motorbike parking

    Very warm welcome from Miguel and Natalia, and we were encouraged to bring our motorbikes in to the enclosed patio area which reassured us, although the village is very quiet so there was nothing to worry about. The location is so peaceful, with lovely views and walks. We are sorry our Spanish is not very good, however Miguel’s English was excellent and we had a lot of fun chatting with him. We’d opted for the superior double room which was lovely with plenty of space for our motorbike kit and even a rocking chair! Bathroom had a spa bath which we didn’t try out, and it was scrupulously clean. A very comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was home-made and just a few euros. If I recall it was something like E8 each because we’d gone for extras such as the home-made tomato salsa to go on our toast, and scrambled eggs. Properly set us up for a days riding. Evening meals were very reasonably priced too at E17 for 2 courses with water and wine included, and we all enjoyed ample-sized portions, and all dishes are home-made and most included local ingredients which was a great touch. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Las Fontaninas as a good place to stay, and will most certainly stay here again on our next trip to the Bierzo region.
