    Worst stay we have ever had with a Booking.com property

    No breakfast and location was poor - not a lot to like about the stay overall

    Firstly the property was difficult to find - there is no "Las Gallates House". The property is actually in a private apartment block and the address is No. 27. No mention of the actual number of the property is made on Booking.com or elsewhere. Despite asking locally no-one knew this address. Only after a considerable time with back and forth WhatsApp messages were we told the real address is No. 27. The situation was made much more difficult because having telephoned the host's number provided she could speak no English and so wee needed to communicate by Google translate on WhatsApp. This entire problem could have been resolved by providing the correct address rather than apparently trying to give a more upbeat ( but non-existent) name. Once in side the property did not meet with our expectations given the posted reviews. We found the apartment to be somewhat tired. The shower curtain had mould at the bottom and overall we were very disappointed overall. The balcony was on a very busy main road and the view was overlooking a ramshackle caravan site, not the attractive mountainous views suggested. Street parking was impossible with the only option being a derelict piece of potholed rough ground (with vandalised cars abandoned there). Meaning concern about not only damage to the rental car's suspension but worries that it might suffer the same vandalism as others Had it not been Christmas with everywhere else booked we would have moved elsewhere
