Dog friendly, great views, close proximity to most places you’d want to visit.
Great views from the outside seating in the meadow. Friendly host who gladly accepts dogs and provides outdoor area to exercise them. Good wifi and facilities.
Nothing really, only the weather.

Super friendly hosts, great location on the outskirts of Whitby.
We were met by the host who showed us into the property. Robert gave us useful information on parking places, places to visit, the best beaches for walking the dog and places to eat within the surrounding areas. The cottage was very nicely decorated and very quaint with ample towels for us to use during our stay. Both Debbie and Robert spoke with myself and the kids daily, checking we were having a lovely time in Whitby and the places we had visited. We would definitely recommend Lavender Cottage and look forward to visiting Whitby and hopefully stay in Lavender cottage again.
Nothing, the cottage had everything we needed during our stay. I personally would have liked some kitchen towel , but only to mop up water from the dog bowl once she had had a drink!! This however did not spoil the stay and we went out and got some anyway.

Family and Doggy Friendly Holiday
Clean, Cosy and comfortable cottage within easy reach of Whitby and Scarborough. Bonus that it's dog friendly. Owners are very friendly and onsite if needed in an emergency. Very quiet considering it's on the main road. Views are stunning of Whitby Bay. Plenty of amenities available including tea, coffee, cleaning products.

What a lovely little place
Such a cute place and perfect for three friends plus dog. Owners, who are right next door, are great and just the right amount of friendly. Parking at the back, lovely courtyard. Well equipped, clean and well maintained. If it’s a ‘romantic’ weekend or trip away, be aware that floorboards are very creaky upstairs 😎 Also be aware that, upstairs, the bathroom is en-suite to the double bedroom so one maybe for people who know each other very well… Lovely touches like dog biscuits and poo bags, extra blankets and tea, coffee and biscuits supplied, plus milk in the fridge. Great location for both Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay. Recommend and would stay again.
