  Good value for extended stay.

  The location is close to the beach in a residential neighborhood. The street was quite and safe. The condo was clear and as expected. Big enough for 2 people.

  A nightmare

  We will never stay at this property again. We booked this accommodation for four nights. On our second night there—after arriving late the previous night and going straight to bed—we noticed several small bugs underneath the countertop. Upon closer inspection, we realized they were cockroaches. We had noticed in the guest portal that the property provided bug spray. However, there was no mention of any pest issue in the listing when we made the reservation; this information was only visible after booking, once we had access to the guest portal. At first, we tried to deal with the cockroaches we saw ourselves. However, after finding them in the bathroom, on the floor, and even on the bed, we decided to contact the host. We texted them at 12:07 a.m., and they responded at 8:30 a.m., telling us that if we wanted a refund for the two unused nights, we would have to leave the property that same morning by 10:00 a.m. We found this completely unreasonable, given the extremely short notice and the fact that we had barely slept. Nevertheless, we complied and vacated the accommodation by 10:00 a.m. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning of the problems. The host initially told us they would not provide a full refund for the two unused nights because Booking.com had supposedly taken a portion of the payment. We contacted Booking.com directly, and they clarified that this was not the case and that the amount refunded was ultimately up to the property. After we communicated this to the host, they then claimed that their cleaner had not found any bugs. Even after we provided photographs, they argued that some bugs are normal in any accommodation, even tho the photos provided were just of some the bugs, not of all the ones we found. We found this response completely unacceptable, as if it’s the guests responsibility to fend for themselves fighting a pest.

  We didn’t spend one night there.

  We had to cancel. The property was not able to be used. The nastiness of the neighborhood was bad. We felt very very unsafe.
