A five star experience from start to finish – we can’t wait for our next visit!
We have been lucky enough to stay at Leeu House twice, and we can honestly say it’s one of our favourite hotels in the world. Everything about it is idyllic – a beautiful setting in the picturesque Franschhoek valley; elegant interiors with lots of interesting, unique artworks; spacious, tasteful rooms; an immaculate pool area surrounded by greenery and florals – and above all, flawless, warm, welcoming service throughout our stay from the moment we arrived to the moment we (reluctantly!) left. The team truly goes above and beyond to make your stay special and we can’t thank them enough for making both our visits so memorable. Everyone is so kind and warm and genuinely wants you to have the best stay. We met Marius on our first stay when we were celebrating our honeymoon, and he was just so wonderful, attentive, friendly and kind throughout both our stays – he made us feel like VIPs which was so special and appreciated, and I imagine he makes every guest feel that way as well! Gaylin and the rest of the team on reception/concierge are also lovely and incredibly helpful in sorting out any dinner or travel or any other plans you may need assistance with – it’s also always lovely to chat with them when you get back from a day out or dinner. In the on site restaurant and bar, Jason and Dylon are such a joy with an incredible attention to detail and such smiley, happy service that never feels intrusive or rushed. The team can’t do enough for you and they really care about ensuring you have the best possible experience during your time there. Leeu House is a beautiful hotel in a gorgeous setting – but the warm hospitality makes it all the more special. The hotel is quite intimate with the elevated boutique feel synonymous with the SLH group.
