  Ci sono lavori su tutta la baia, ma non è colpa della struttura. La colazione, non mi è piaciuta, pochissima scelta e quando siamo arrivati era quasi tutti finito, mancava ancora mezz'ora al termine.

  Fantastic location, beautiful views, but skip dinner

  The staff were very helpful, water bottles were provided daily for free, plenty of towels which were still delivered (with coffee and tea and water) to the room even if you choose the do not disturb sign. The views are fantastic if you opt for a suite. The coconut coffees are sublime, too. You are also only around a 10 minute walk from the main attractions in the town, and bikes are cheap to rent. You can access one beach via some stairs straight onto it and walk along it to the town, or just over the hill around 3 minutes is an alternative beach (I think it was Cat Co 1). Due to an issue in the booking we were compensated with an extra 1/2 day booking our bikes thanks to the help of Hang and Gam on reception, who were very kind and helpful, especially Hang! Although there is construction on one side it will be absolutely beautiful when the marina is finished! It's a small price to pay at the moment for the place and I would not let it put you off at all. Really great overall and I would absolutely stay here again.

  TLDR: I don't feel we were compensated well for the hotel's booking error and rent scooters from the town, not from the hotel. There are better food options in town. The landing light also does not switch off all night and the door is frosted glass, so it is never dark. Our booking was done I correctly. We booked for the VIP Suite for 5 nights but, 30 minutes before arrival, I received a text saying the booking was messed up and we would be in a bungalow. Luckily this was only for one night, and they allowed us to pay just the price of the bungalow, but I feel a discounted rate on the bungalow room would have been a better courtesy as it's not at all what we booked. We were discounted some bikes, paying 2 days worth for 2.5 days, as a courtesy. However, these bikes were still 200k per day (the asking price in town is 100-150 per day and they are everywhere), so this is a little disappointing - we opted for these for the ease for us as we made a last minute decision, but we received them almost empty so our bike journey began with sourcing petrol. Also, the bike I had did not allow the seat to lock, it constantly beeped for the first minute or so of each ride, and the steering column is slightly bent. They worked for the time but certainly better options. The helmet was also small and mine only came with one where my friend had 2. We were in two rooms, both of which have frosted glass main doors. Just outside is the landing with bright down lights running along it. This meant that all night there was light coming into the room, meaning it is tough to get to sleep. Finally, we had a pasta dish each. My friend had the pesto and I had the seafood cream. However, both were very sweet in taste and so we were not overly happy with them. The parmesan cheese that was on the top is also absolutely not parmesan cheese and so the menu is misleading. My friend ordered a banana pancake for dessert and was brought a chocolate pancake.

  Our stay at LePont Bungalow Hostel was perfect. The staff were always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. The rooms and common areas are spread across different levels, giving the whole place a unique and charming atmosphere. It’s a shame that there is some government construction work nearby, but it really didn’t bother us. Two beautiful beaches are just a five-minute walk away, including Cat Co 3. From there, a scenic path along the cliffs leads to Cat Co 1, offering stunning views of the bay. With construction happening all over Cat Ba, we actually found it least disruptive here. We can highly recommend staying at LePont Bungalow Hostel! One last tip: Make sure to try the coffee!
