  Writing We had a wonderful stay at Lijiang Gemmer Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone planning to visit the beautiful city of Lijiang. One of the hotel’s greatest advantages is its fantastic location, just a two-minute walk from the Ancient City. The surrounding area has a charming, traditional small-town atmosphere, with lovely streets, a peaceful ambience, and the breathtaking mountains that make Lijiang so special. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful mountain views from our room window, which added a memorable touch to our stay. The hotel has a lovely traditional Chinese cottage-style feel, offering an authentic cultural experience that blends perfectly with the character and heritage of Lijiang. It is an ideal choice for travellers who want to experience the charm of traditional Chinese architecture while staying within easy walking distance of the Ancient City, its shops, cafés, restaurants, and picturesque streets. Although the hotel does not have a lift, the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, carrying our luggage up to the third floor without hesitation. Their warm hospitality, friendliness, and willingness to go the extra mile made us feel very welcome. They were also extremely helpful in arranging visits to local attractions upon request, making it easier for us to plan our sightseeing and make the most of our time in Lijiang. For anyone visiting Lijiang, I would recommend staying here if you appreciate a traditional setting, beautiful scenery, and personalised service. The location is particularly convenient for exploring the Ancient City on foot, enjoying its charming atmosphere, and discovering the local culture. I would also recommend asking the hotel staff for assistance with arranging sightseeing trips, as their local knowledge and helpful attitude can make your visit much more convenient. Overall, Lijiang Gemmer Hotel is a lovely choice for travellers seeking an authentic, comfortable, and memorable experience in Lijiang.

  Writing The only minor downside was that the bed was not made and the bedding was not refreshed daily during our stay. Improving the daily housekeeping service in this area would make the overall guest experience even better. However, this did not overshadow the excellent hospitality, convenient location, and helpfulness of the staff, which made our stay enjoyable overall.

  Geen eigen keuken: ontbijt in naburig restaurant. Enkel chinees en beperkt keuze. Zeer harde bedden.

  非常完美

  酒店位置很好，交通十分便利，床铺软硬适中，睡的很舒服。卫生干净，房间设施齐全，公共花园打造的非常漂亮，在花园休闲非常舒适。酒店周边美食也多，酒店工作人员服务周到，推荐的美食和游玩景点性价比很高，吃得好，玩的开心，住的舒服，强烈推荐！

  More like a 3 star hotel

  The courtyard was nice. Rooms were spacious. Very accessible to old town. Free airport shuttle pick up. The hosts were friendly

  There is no lift for accessibility, breakfast was not in the hotel (it was next door in a restaurant) and the food was very basic and bad. Beds were hard. Rooms were a bit noisy, can hear people closing their doors, talking, and coughing. We changed hotels after one night.
