The hosts were superb - so friendly and shared local knowledge to help improve our experience at every opportunity. Lindisfarne is in a perfect situation for a stay in Orkney - in Stromness for arrival from ferry, very close to Maeshowe and not far from Scarra Brae - short drive to Kirkwall. The B and B was extremely comfortable, very clean and offered an excellent quality breakfast. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Parfait, plein d'attentions et de gentilesse et les Orcades sont magnifiques!
Notre séjour (3 nuits) a été très agréable; l'accueil du couple qui gère le B&B est charmant; souriants, disponibles et aidants. Nous avions malheureusement contracté la grippe et nous sommes arrivés à notre chambre très fatigués, notre hôtesse a été très attentive à notre confort. Mis à part notre santé, nous avons apprécié notre séjour. La vue de la chambre était apaisante, bucolique à souhait, vaches, moutons et mouettes tournoyantes. Les petits déjeuners très copieux, variés, ont été un moment de réconfort! Pour notre départ, notre hôte a eu la gentillesse et nous le remercions encore de nous emmener en voiture au ferry! Les Orcades sont magnifiques! Nous avons pu malgré notre état, faire la randonnée prévue avec Orkney Travel; cela a été un enchantement! nous avons adoré visiter les sites archéologiques, découvrir les paysages et la petite capitale Kirkwall!
pour qui voyage comme nous en train à travers l'Ecosse, la situation de l'établissement est un peu trop excentrée; nous n'avons pas trouvé de taxi, ni de bus et nous sommes partis à pied avec nos valises! Sans la grippe, je pense que cela aurait été facile mais dans notre état whouah! pas évident!( ça grimpe fort). En voiture par contre c'est parfait à 3 minutes du port du ferry.
