The hotel does not have any ground floor rooms; all rooms are accessed via a spiral staircase, and there is no elevator. Unfortunately there is no air conditioning throughout the hotel. However fans are provided in all the rooms. A deposit may be required at the property.

    Really enjoyed our stay here.Would definitely recommend

    The hotel was lovely.Location was excellent and so were the staff.Full English breakfast in the morning was fantastic also

    A Historical Gem with Outstanding Hospitality!

    We absolutely loved our stay at the wonderful Lion & Pheasant hotel. The property itself is beautifully old and full of historical charm, yet it remains exceptionally clean and comfortable throughout. What truly sets this place apart is the team. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The dining was another major highlight. Both the great breakfast and the delicious evening meal exceeded our expectations, offering fantastic quality. It was a truly lovely experience, and we cannot recommend it enough. We will definitely be back!

    I cannot think of anything that we didn't like. It was all lovely.
