Fabulous Weeknd Stay
Five stars for Live Aqua at Los Bosques in Mexico City. The hotel itself and the surrounding area were fantastic — easily one of the best stays I've had. What really made it was the mall right nearby, Paseo Arcos Bosques, about a five-minute walk. It has restaurants on both the first and second levels, which I wish I'd known before the trip because it meant we barely needed to leave. For food, there's Shake Shack if you want a familiar American burger, 50 Friends for pizza and pasta on the ground floor, Negroni for a livelier Italian night out, LAVO for big portions of pasta and shared plates with a high-energy vibe, Nobu for Japanese, Puerto Madero for premium Argentinian steaks and seafood with a great wine list, and Cachava by Casa Ó, a wood-fire grill steakhouse right across from Nobu. For breakfast, Carolo does fresh juices, smoothies, açaí bowls, matcha, and their specialty chilaquiles. Maison Kayser is a French bakery with crepes, pastries, and sit-down seating that feels like Paris. There's also Häagen-Dazs for ice cream. On the shopping side, it's very American — Lululemon, a clothing store like Ella's, Tesla, and Sephora coming soon. They also have Pilates if you want to work out. I'd rate the whole stay five stars and would absolutely stay again.
