We spent almost a week at this wonderful villa and absolutely loved our stay! The villa is beautiful, with breathtaking views, a huge outdoor area, and a private pool. We were also lucky with the weather! Since we visited towards the end of the season, the pool was a little chilly, but that didn't stop us from enjoying it. The villa has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and we felt right at home. The location is fantastic, surrounded by incredible scenery. We had a rental car, and it took us around 20 minutes to reach the coast. You can also get there by bus. Figuring out the local bus system was a little adventure for us at first, but once you understand how it works, it's absolutely manageable. We also tried walking down the many stairs towards the coast a couple of times. It was quite an adventure. The stairways and views along the Amalfi Coast are truly something special. Carmela also helped us arrange a parking permit, which made parking much more affordable and convenient. But what made our stay truly special was Carmela ❤️ I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to her. She is an absolutely incredible person — kind, caring, thoughtful, and always available whenever we needed anything. Unfortunately, during our stay, my mom had an accident and broke her arm. It was a very difficult and stressful situation for our family, but Carmela went above and beyond to help us. She was constantly in touch, offered her support, and genuinely cared about how my mom was doing. Her kindness meant so much to us, and we will never forget it. Thanks to Carmela, even with this unfortunate incident, our stay was filled with warmth and wonderful memories. Carmela, thank you so much for everything! Sending you the biggest hugs and our warmest wishes. We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely love to come back again. Hopefully, next time everything will be perfect! Highly recommended
I'd also like to mention the stairs, as I've noticed that several reviews bring this up. In our opinion, stairs are simply part of visiting the Amalfi Coast, and it's something worth being prepared for. We knew about them in advance, so they weren't an issue for us. The only inconvenience was carrying our suitcases, but a porter service is available for an additional fee if needed. We didn't mind the stairs at all. Walking around is part of the experience, and after all the Italian pasta and pizza, a little extra exercise certainly doesn't hurt! 😄

An authentic Italian holiday
We loved our time at Lo Smeraldo. The house was spotlessly clean and well appointed with everything we needed. The views are spectacular. There was a house clean and full linen change during our stay which we really appreciated. Lorenzo and his wife Louisa were very warm and welcoming to us. The garden and pool are lovely. The lemon grove was especially our favourite and.the smell from the flowers was intoxicating. While there are many steps and sloping path from the road to the house, we enjoyed the challenge of walking it and our fitness improved alot. Just bear this in mind when planning shopping and pulling your luggage - Dont overpack!! The local village is about a 2k walk, with very nice dining options, Da Pietro a favourite. I highly recommend this villa if you are looking for a peaceful, authentic Itlian holiday.
Absolutely nothing!!!

Underbart ställe, med pool, skön sittplats under citronträden, stora sovrum och en utsikt som är alldeles enastående.

The view from this Villa is absolutely exceptional! We all loved it and was well worth the trip up and down everyday to get and from the villa. The pool is amazing and the courtyard is sublime. Had all the necessary amenities we required for our stay.
Beds were a bit on the uncomfortable side, but you can understand why as it would be a mission to bring down mattresses to the villa. Not a big issues if you've had a long day and pass out as you head hits the pillow, but on a relaxed day you may find it more difficult to get comfortable
