    The terrace was lovely and accessible for all guests though very underused. We spent several lovely evenings just sitting gazing over Florence with a bottle of wine spotting locations we had visited during the day. Great location, 7-10mins walk to David, the Duomo, the Uffizi and the train station. Situated on the third floor of an old Florentine building that used to be part of a monastic complex it has the equivalent of listed building status. The interiors are all sympathetic and very modern but it does mean there is no lift available so you have 3 floors of stairs to reach it. We only had small backpacks so this wasn't a problem and the notice in the room suggested that staff would be happy to help with luggage if needed. The room was spacious, clean and whilst not needed for our trip had air conditioning if required. Comfy beds with lots of pillows and the surprise bonus of a small kitchenette area (not sure if all the rooms had this or just room 5: worth asking if you are visiting on a budget). Continental breakfast with cold meats, pastries, cereals and yoghurts. A great spot as a base if you are visiting Florence and we would definetly recommend and stay again.
