    Nice location but very dated and damp, needs a revamp

    The view was nice

    The lodge was really damp and dated, really needs an upgrade. The wardrobes smelt awful and damp, the bedrooms were damp so much I thought my duvet was wet but wasn’t . I had to air it during the stay in the lounge. Bathroom very small and damp. Generally ok but very dated and damp. The kitchen facilities were not great, I did cook one night they there wasn’t a lot of trays , pans etc. No WiFi signal in bedrooms at all during whole stay. Owner did try and fix but didn’t work. The living room WiFi was very bad also , we had to drive into village to get online for a work zoom. It’s ok if you don’t need access to it and the view was nice.

    Great Location, well appointed, decor and booking system dated

    Great location, stunning sunsets. Well appointed accom, especially kitchen

    Decor dated and bland (some of the great local arts and crafts would help) Dated booking process, felt exposed paying by bank transfer, then a plethora of emails

    Beautiful area and setting for the accomodation,, but we did not like having to sign a contract

    We loved the location and the views from the room, which certainly sell the accommodation. The chalet-type accommodation was fairly spacious. There were deer wandering around outside at night, which was lovely to see and lots of fantastic walks closeby.

    Having to sign and fill out a contract and pay outwith booking.com was a strange, slightly stressful process and the only time I have ever had to do this when using Booking.com. Then we had to email when we left the accommodation.
