    A Special and Romantic Rural Base

    The apartment itself is beautiful and whoever furnished it has a good eye, the location is also fantastic. There's plenty to do, the hikes are wonderful, and the amenities recommended by the hosts are worth considering (The Rising Sun, The Pony, Salt and Malt, etc.). I would advise having a car available to be able to make the most of things a bit further afield. The parking space is easier to use than other reviews are making out, I had no problems getting a seven seater SUV into the space. The hot tub is clean and easy to use, it was especially pleasant to use in the evenings and having separate towels and bathrobes for this was a nice touch. The kitchen facilities have everything you need, including a manual for the oven (very useful). The TV is a smart TV so you have plenty of options there. The hosts themselves (specifically Anne) were able to help me with a special request pertaining to a bouquet of flowers prior to our arrival, which made our entrance into the apartment that much better. Overall, this is a very special place to stay. If you're looking for a romantic rural getaway, this is the place you're looking for.

    The shower doesn't drain quickly enough, so as you're showering the tray fills up. It doesn't flood the bathroom, so maybe this is by design, but we ended up taking the drain filter out when we showered to fix this. A few items in the kitchen were either running low or needed restocking entirely, such as salt and coffee. As other reviews have mentioned, you can sometimes hear noise from the adjacent room (there is a small cupboard with an ironing board and vacuum, near the bed, that has a door into what I believe is the main building) although this wasn't obnoxious or happening at obscene hours. However, all of the above is minor and really shouldn't prevent anyone from choosing this as their place to stay.

    Really lovely loft apartment which is nice for a restful stay.

    Lovely loft apartment. Nice and cosy for a little break away.

    The temperature of the shower was quite low and the radiators were difficult to control temperature. I'm not sure if there was a thermostat control just for the apartment.

    Exceptional

    A beautiful holiday home, in a great setting. It was very well appointed and all the fixtures and fittings to a high standard. Very accommodating hostess.

    Loo positioned too close to the towel rail, no room for long legs! Maybe a coffee machine would be nice.
