    Ready for update

    Very clean and comfortable

    The TV reception was sporadic and unwatchable. The couch had split its stitching in several places

    Good location for Cape visit with friendly service

    Karen and Kenny were very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The spa was a nice touch. A great location for visiting the Cape.

    A nice place to stay

    We have stayed at this motel in the past. The new owners have made a concerted effort to upgrade most of the rooms and/or the fixtures and fittings. It's quiet at night, but a busy place. Close to the main centre of Kaitaia and an easy drive to get to Cape Reinga. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean. Rubbish bins were emptied daily.

    We were there for 6 days and the towels and tea towls were only changed once in that time. The small refrigerator was turned up too high so our food (including eggs!) became frozen and therefore unusable. Turning it down didn't really improve the situation. So check the refrigerator temperature before filling up with perishable items.

    Best in Kaitaia

    Very clean, friendly staff, easy parking. Overall, excellent value for money.

    The water pressure was a bit low but manageable. The door to the toilet was also very squeaky loud
