    Location, the local pub the local walk. Still waiting for some sort of a refund

    The hot tub was unavailable but charged the same amount for the hot tub! the view is becoming blocked with the trees and weeds growing so tall

    Poor communication and maintenance made for a frustrating and underwhelming experience.

    Location quiet and impressive scenery. Property clean and well restored.

    Firstly, although I completed the verification process weeks in advance, I didn’t receive the entry code until I chased it the day before our stay. The agent wrongly claimed I hadn’t verified my identity, and had I not followed up, we would’ve arrived unable to access the property. This should have been proactively addressed. Secondly, we booked this property specifically for the hot tub, which was out of order upon arrival. The agent emailed rather than called to inform us, too late for us to cancel and rebook another property. Not sure if anyone came to fix it the next morning despite assurances, and it never heated above 25°C during our stay and so was unusable for us. Thirdly, the property was not luxurious. Several lights didn’t work, the fridge was damaged, the main bed was uncomfortable and some basic kitchen items were missing or broken. We received £100 compensation, but it didn’t reflect the overall disappointment, especially with work resuming the next day. In summary, poor communication and maintenance made for a frustrating and underwhelming experience.
