Excellent location to walk to many of the major Florence sites
I loved the location. One of my favorite things about this property is that in the mornings the streets were so quiet and we could explore Florence without anyone else around (maybe before 8:30 or 9 am? Certainly between 7 and 8 am). I have pictures of many popular places without the crowds. We walked to the Galleria D’Academia for the very first entry to see David and we have photos with almost no one else in them. During the day, the streets were vibrant. Immediately across from the entrance is a day market, and at night the same space had street performers. It was very easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Being able to experience Florence before and after the daytime crowds was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable. The host gave us some great recommendations for restaurants.
There was an electric kettle with instant coffee and tea. I would have preferred to make real coffee, but there were also plenty of cafes nearby for great coffee. The trade off for the great location was well worth it to us. Note that there is an elevator, but it’s located after you go up the first set of steps. There’s also a large step up to get into the apartment. We found it to be an easy walk up the stairs all the way to the apartment, and we had no issues with the stairs, but it’s something to be aware of.
