    The apartment was very clean and the hosts were friendly, but the location did not really work for us. It’s more of a busy city stay than a relaxing beach vacation. The beach and tourist areas were farther than expected, and the neighborhood felt noisy during the day because of traffic and the nearby bus station. The apartment is also quite small, and we missed having consistent hot water. Overall okay for a short stay in downtown Puerto Plata, but not the best choice if you want something quiet and close to the beach.
