  Won’t be coming back

  Location

  Very noisy from street, both AC not working, towels like old rags, ironing board without a proper cover, early check unavailable, check-in in service poor and lacking personal touch, dinning chairs and sofas rather dirty and lacking replacement, mattresses also requiring replacement. As a 7- nighter stayer bedding and towels should have been replaced at least once

  Well below the standard that we have come to expect from holiday accommodation. Not user frendly.

  A very scenic location with superb views over the Douro Estuary. Easily accessible. Bus and tram services to the centre ran straight past the door. A 15 minute taxi/Uber drive to the city centre attractions. Three or four restaurants located a fifteen to twenty minute walk away. A small supermarket located behind the apartment accessed by 85 steps.

  We felt that the apartment was very poorly equipped. Insufficient towels and some of those which were provided were well beyond their service life (holes). Insufficient crockery for four people. No cupboard to store foodstuffs. Only three cereal. pudding bowls. Nowhere to hang wet towels. No seats, dressing tables or mirrors in the bedrooms. Obtaining the key code to access required both logging on to the internet one hour before arrival and in addition making a phone call to facilitate opening of the main door. We found the street noise in the front bedroom was very loud. MOST IMPORTANT: The apartment is totally unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems. The street outside is made up of sloping, crumbling concrete with a steel pipe project from it (dangerous trip hazard. Once inside the main door there are four flights of stairs to the apartment access door and two further flights of stairs with no handrail to access the bedrooms.
