  Lovely characterful cottage in beautiful surroundings

  Lovely property, really well set up and a lovely to find good quality kitchenware in a holiday home. The hot tub had been heating prior to our arrival which was very thoughtful and allowed is to use it on our first night. Would highly recommend.

  A lovely, relaxing family stay with thoughtful touches.

  We had a lovely stay here as a family. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed, and the whole process was really easy. The children loved the garden and the Swedish hot tub was a great addition! The location was perfect for us – quiet and peaceful, but still close enough to easily get to the beach. It was lovely to come back to somewhere calm and relaxing after a busy day out. We had a great trip and would definitely recommend.

  Nothing we didn’t like – the house was exactly as described and pictured, and had everything we needed for our stay.

  Lovely, quiet and comfortable stay.

  The property was as described. In a quiet location in Bodmin with private parking. We were not overlooked and there was a beautiful view from the back garden and kitchen window. Host was very communicative and welcome pack of scones, cream, jam and milk were much appreciated. The property also kept supplies well stocked with tea, coffee pods for our stay, washing up liquid and washing tablets for the washing machine, which was a lovely bonus. All cooking utensils, cutlery, towels, pots/pans, glasses, serving dishes, kitchen towel and toilet roll supplied, which again a lovely addition. Our very well-behaved dog was welcome and enjoyed his stay as well. The log burner was a very welcomed accessory on the cold February nights and there was a fair amount of snoring coming from the dog as we settled in for a move night. Thank you!

  This is the first time we have used a Swedish hot tub. For our family, this wasn't the greatest option as we are very outdoorsy and spend most of our time hiking, walking and exploring so returning to the property to have to "feed" the hot tub and wait for it to heat up wasn't the best option. Not a fault of the property - we will just remember for next time we book a hot tub. If you are staying local and relaxing around the property, it would be absolutely fine. We found that we only used the hot tub on one occasion and it was lukewarm, at best. We also found there are no local pubs within walking distance so cooked most meals indoors or had to drive, which meant only one of us were able to enjoy an evening tipple. Again, not a deal-breaker and it was covered in the pre-booking information so no fault at all of the property. For anyone with an adventurous dog or puppy, although the property is very private, the garden is fairly open so our dog needed to be kept on a lead when outdoors at all times. The only other comment which is unfortunate as we had such a lovely stay was that the furniture in the sitting area is in need of a deep clean. The settees were covered with lovely comfy pillows; however, when moving them we did notice that there was quite a bit of staining on the blue settees. We managed it by covering the settees with a blanket during our stay so not too bad worth mentioning.
