  Excellent location. Quick check-in/Check-out

  The host was excellent. Communication was extremely quick, friendly and helpful throughout, which made me feel confident about my arrangements. Self-check-in was very convenient, using one access code for the building and another for the apartment. The whole process was straightforward and required no unnecessary formalities. The location was perfect for my plans, approximately a 15-minute walk from both Pisa Centrale railway station and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. There are also many restaurants and mini-markets within walking distance. The apartment is pretty spacious. I believe three people, or even two couples, could stay there for a few days in terms of available space.

  The apartment is very dark. The bedroom, living room and kitchen all have windows facing a small internal courtyard, which is the only source of natural light throughout the apartment. The bathroom is showing more signs of wear than the listing photographs suggest. In particular, the silicone sealant around the shower clearly needs replacing, as it has become blackened, unlike what is shown in the photographs. Although the bathroom initially appeared clean, I found hairs that did not belong to us when I lifted the toilet seat. The host provided two complete sets of towels, each consisting of a bath towel, a hand towel and a face towel, which all appeared clean. However, the complimentary toiletries consisted of various full-sized, shared products from different brands rather than individual toiletries, as commonly provided in hotels. I always bring my own just in case, but I believe this should be made clearer in the listing. The bed creaked loudly with even the slightest movement, although the bed linen appeared clean. The biggest problem, however, was the noise from the appliances. The refrigerator is old and makes an extremely loud, unpleasant noise that can be clearly heard throughout the apartment. Additionally, the water heater switches on seemingly at random during the night, approximately every ten minutes, producing further noise that can be heard from the bedroom. I actually woke up during the night and ended up switching off both the refrigerator and the water heater because the noise was preventing me from sleeping comfortably. I only stayed for one night, so I cannot comment on the functionality of the other equipment in the living room or kitchen, as I did not use it.

  Fab location and value for money

  Host was very attentive. Apartment spotlessly clean and comfortable. Lots of little details like toiletries etc. Central location is ideal for all pisa sights etc.

  Bit of lack of light given ground floor setting.
