  Misleading parking information, poor access instructions and very dated accommodation

  We were unfortunately very disappointed with our stay at this property. One of the main reasons we booked this accommodation was that the Booking.com listing clearly advertised “Free parking”, with the detailed information stating that free public street parking was available nearby. When we arrived, we discovered that this was not the case. The surrounding street parking was metered and time-restricted during the day, and the property instead offered paid parking. We ended up paying an additional $150.85 for parking. After several conversations with Booking.com, they ultimately refunded this amount, but it was an unnecessary problem that we should never have had to deal with. Our arrival experience wasn't much better. We were given a code to access the main entrance, but the instructions failed to mention that after entering the code you also have to press the blue button. As a result, we simply couldn't get into the building. We only managed to gain access because, fortunately, a neighbour happened to be passing and explained what we needed to do. Something as basic as entering the property should not depend on being lucky enough to find a neighbour who knows how the door works. The apartment itself was also disappointing. The furniture and furnishings were very dated and tired, and the overall accommodation could really benefit from refurbishment and modernisation. It did not live up to the impression we had from the listing. The location was convenient, but unfortunately the misleading parking information, inadequate access instructions and dated condition of the accommodation significantly affected our experience.

  Good location for light travel/solo trip but not when you have many luggage and children

  Location is close to airport and Balboa Park. Parking is available for a fee. Doors use codes so less hastle in getting your keys lost or misplaced.

  We booked for a room on the first level but the room we got was the one upstairs where we have to take 4 set of stairs. Travelling with toddler and many luggage is not recommended.
