    Spacious well located appatment

Fantastic location, very close to James street station, the 3 graces, the waterfront, museums, tour buses, Matthew street, (Beatles street) and lovely restaurants. Apartment is very spacious, clean and well equipped. Lovely decor. Some very interesting Beatles memorabilia in pictures throughout.

Have to pump the toilet flush to get it to go. Although the block won an award in 2000, the maintenance of the flats and immediate area outside needs attention. Not a suitable apartment for anyone with bad knees as sofa, beds and toilets are low.

No lifts, no hot water, no aircon, no parking, no toilet flush. We strongly advise looking elsewhere.

No lifts, no hot water, no aircon, no parking, no toilet flush. A highly disappointing experience that fell completely short of a 'luxury' standard. The building's lifts were entirely out of order, and we were informed they will remain out of service for two months. Consequently, we had to carry all of our luggage up five flights of stairs. The reception area appeared neglected, with rough sleepers at the entrance, litter, and an adjacent square prone to anti-social behaviour well into the evening. Inside the flat, the air conditioning operated at an absolute minimum. There is only a single unit in the living area; its swing function is broken, and it points directly at a structural column. The windows barely open, leaving the flat extremely hot, and while cheap portable fans were provided for the bedrooms, we could not use the master bedroom's ceiling fan due to a thick, unhygienic layer of dust on the blades. Cleanliness was substandard, with heavy dust accumulating on less obvious surfaces such as picture frames and wardrobes. Both bathrooms exhibited maintenance deficiencies, including notable cracks in the floors and walls. Our hot water ran out completely on the second day mid-shower. This came at the worst possible time, as my son had a temperature and needed a warm shower to help bring it down. The host did not respond until the following day, and the solution given was to flip a switch (to guarantee hot water for more than two guests), which is frustrating since we had confirmed when booking that there would be three of us staying at the flat. Of the two toilets, one did not flush at all. The other had a handwritten note taped to the handle asking guests to pump it repeatedly to get it working. There were several very serious maintenance issues in the building and the flat itself, including sinking cracks on the floors and mould. Parking was charged in advance before we had even seen the space, despite not being included in the price.
