What an absolute gem! The accommodation is beautiful and in a perfect location. The hosts were incredibly amazing and made sure we had everything we could possibly need—including lovely touches like butter, milk, coffee, tea, sugar, and even fresh eggs from their own chickens! It's such a peaceful home, and it’s just a short, easy drive into Colchester and the beach at West Mersea. We loved every minute! Thank you so much Emily and Daniel, we will be back!

Oaks Rest lives up to its name - truely restful place

Lovely quiet location. Meeting the chickens was great. Apart from bed the accommodation was perfect.

One of the fittings on one side of bed at the top creaked alot. We solved it by sleeping the other way.

Nice cottage in community area, quiet location. 2 miles from towncentre, but small shops nearby. 2 miles from station, but doable by walking. 100meters from nice parc.
