The Lodge was located quite deep in the countryside so was lovely and quiet, about 6 mins drive off the main road. Only about 25 mins both to Bude and Bideford so easily reachable for trips to the beach etc The Lodge was really well equipped and had everything we needed and I think really good value.
Our bed was a little uncomfortable but otherwise nothing.

A great host, a lovely stay... A few small improvements would make it 10/10.
The lodge was very peaceful, down in the valley on a very quiet site. Space was perfect. It gave me and the 3 other adults, 2 children and 2 dogs plenty of room for the week. Location-wise, for someone who wants to see the whole of North Devon, it's a great base. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this lodge, and would consider booking again if we go back to Devon.
Although the remoteness of the lodge had its perks, the nearest convenience store was several miles away. We would typically go to COOP in Kilthampton as the range was better than Cost Cutter. The other slight negative was the cob webs. Very difficult to complain as we were in the woods. But we kept finding them even on day one when they should have been removed my cleaners. Some of the appliances are old. Working fine, but not confidence inspiring (most notably the dishwasher).
