Completely unacceptable condition on arrival
Unfortunately, the condition of this property on arrival was completely unacceptable and we were unable to stay there. The house did not appear to have been properly prepared for new guests. The beds appeared used, used towels were left behind, personal items remained in the bathroom, furniture was dismantled, and the house was very cold. We took photographs documenting the condition immediately after arrival. After seeing the state of the property, we did not consider it reasonable to spend even the first night there. We left that evening and had to urgently find and pay for alternative accommodation at significant additional cost. We reported the situation to Booking.com and provided photographic evidence. The original reservation was subsequently fully refunded. In all our years of travelling, we have never experienced accommodation in such an unacceptable condition on arrival. Having to abandon a booked property and search for somewhere else to stay late in the evening completely disrupted the start of our stay in Lyngen. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend choosing another accommodation. We would not stay here again under any circumstances.
