True feelings
Exceptionally wonderful and relaxing holiday! Clean; welcome was best out of many hotels we've stayed in!!!!😁🤩💯👏 Staff were 'onpoint' with a seamless and warm service. Treating guests more like special family members.🫶 The guest representative couldn't be more genuinely helpful. 👍The take away, out of many, was the sincerity felt through the energy and the smiles;no fake ones here!👌👏🪙
Time was too short; could have stayed another week!😉 Need an onsite ATM though 🏧💷

Lovely hotel, but not given the room type we booked and paid for, and not honest about the reason.
Large rooms, comfortable beds, good food. Quiet location yet only 10-15 minutes from Stone Town. Lovely pool area and great restaurants.
We were told the hotel was completely full and they could only give us a room on the 1st floor (we had requested top floor). Then we discovered that the room they gave us was an Executive and not Super Executive that we had booked and paid for. On complaining they said it was a mistake and that if we waited another hour (until 5:30pm) they would have the correct room available (also on 1st floor). This room was OK, but we very soon discovered that the hotel was almost empty with only a couple of rooms occupied on the second floor and none at all occupied on the top floor. Why not give us what we asked for or at least be honest about why not.

Staff was extremely polite and helpful upon arrival...and we were upgrade to a larger suite to fit our family. We had a very early flight the next morning, which there were no issues using the provided shuttle. They even packed breakfast to go for us without as asking. Major pros were staff, the views, on site restaurant, and the proximity to the airport.
While the lobby and grounds are beautiful and manicured, the room itself is a bit dated. As we were only staying one night, it wasn't a huge deal. However, I would say the size of the presidential suite, as well as the views, far made up for the dated fixtures. We would stay here again if we needed to be close to the airport.
