We really liked our stay in this apartment and would stay there again.
Location is very good, walking distance to major museums. Lots of bars and restaurants on the street but the apartment faces a tiny inner court yard, and overall it's very quiet. The apartment is small but has 2 nice bedrooms with wardrobes, one bedroom has TV in addition to a TV in the main room. It has all the necessary utilities, kitchen cleaning stuff, dishes, etc. There is plenty space for garbage and it's ok to leave it in the apartment. The apartment could get some facelift repairs but overall it's ok. The sofa in the main room is very hard but again it is a minor thing. We really liked our stay in this apartment.
We were not provided with the keys to the building where the apartment is located and had to wait on a street for someone to enter the building and open the door. The instructions for the apartment location in the building were sent right before our arrival in Spanish which we do not know (we were communicating with the host in English only). Fortunately, I remembered reading in the reviews that the apartment is on the ground floor, so we went through a small inner court yard and found the first apartment on the right side. It didn't have a number but had a digital lock so we tried the provided code but it didn't work. We called the given phone number and were told that we should press the key sign after entering the digital code and we were able to open the lock. We called to ask for the key to the entrance door to the building and they were delivered to us withing an hour, Only one key which is quite inconvenient but better then nothing. Overall the hostess was very responsive to our questions about the apartment.

Discraceful. Never book accommodation demanding a security deposit. Learn from my mistake!
The apartment is quite small for more than 2 people but is in a very good location close to metro and Atocha train station. Apartment is clean though I noticed provision is regimented. Exactly one washing machine capsule, one dishwasher tablet and a tiny vile of washing up liquid. Provision of facilities and use of AI bot communication is somewhat clinical but may suit those of us who prefer light touch. TV has access to Netflix and possibly other platforms if you want to relax at some times. Noise from outside main bedroom some mornings as there must be a water tap against the outside wall but it was not noisy too early. Each occupant gets 2 or 3 towels but there is only a top sheet and a throw provided as bedding. There were a couple of minor issues but these may not be because of the host or owner. Large cockroach in the apartment but Spain does have these and there are restaurants close-by. Cooking provision is in good order but basic. Enough for light easy meals. Consider somewhere with better cooking facilities if you want to do plenty of self catering. Nearly forgot to mention that the apartment is within modest walking of a number of important museums which if you check the times - can sometimes have free entry.
I made a last minute switch on my choice of accommodation and paid in full only to find that small print notifies of a security deposit demand which I had to pay. Call it sods law but the washing machine door would not open and so I arranged for their technician to attend while we were out and that technician forced the door open and taped it up so the door could not be closed. After leaving I was told that I had forced the door open and have been charged much of the security deposit. The full deposit was taken for many days and a little over half was later returned. The business had a video at the time I reported the issue and photos of the damage after but I was told that the washing machine was not damaged before I arrived and was damaged when I left. This is the simple calculation used to find me at fault. The business cannot recognise that I had no need to report the issue and arrange for their technician to attend if I was going to force open the door. This is possibly about a business model that uses an AI bot to communicate in the first instance. If you have an out of hours issue you will have to ring an emergency number and hope for the best. My advice to all readers is read the small print ands never book any accommodation demanding a security deposit. It might cost you dearly. I am left dissappointed and angy at being wrongly charged for damage I did not cause but you can avoid that risk. I can tell you that facts and truth will not matter if you get caught out like i did. Entry instructions are accurate but the apartment needs 3 seperate keyless entries which must be done in an exact way. Other negative customer feedback relates to the second communal inner door which must be buzzed and swiped in a specific way. Wifi signal can be lost which would mean returning to the outer door whilst someone else presses the buzzer. You cannot do this unless there is more than one of you and you have smartphone connection.

emplacement
pas de fenetre sur l'exterieur, donc peu de lumiere. Il ne s'agit pas de 2 pieces séparées, ce sont des clisons mobiles. Pas de table pour travailler
