I find what happened absolutely outrageous and completely unacceptable. I arrived at the accommodation with a CONFIRMED Booking.com reservation, which I had paid €104 for, yet the owner refused to let me stay there. I had just come from walking the Camino de Santiago, so yes, I arrived with a backpack and I was not dressed in elegant clothes. I strongly felt that I was judged based on my appearance and the way I was dressed. A paying guest with a confirmed reservation should NEVER be treated differently because they arrive wearing hiking clothes and carrying a backpack. I sincerely hope that Booking.com refunds the full €104, because I paid for accommodation that I was ultimately not allowed to use. In my experience, the owner’s behaviour was disrespectful, unfair and completely unprofessional. I did not feel welcome at all. Instead, I was left with the impression that taking the guest’s money mattered more than actually treating the guest with basic respect and honouring a confirmed reservation. After walking the Camino, arriving tired and expecting nothing more than the room I had legitimately booked and paid for, being turned away like this was humiliating and extremely upsetting. This is absolutely NOT how a paying guest should be treated. I expect a FULL REFUND of my €104.

Hard to fault anything to be honest. Very nice owner, staff, building, rooms, breakfast ...
The only very small thing I could say is that if you're a light sleeper there maybe a bit of noise. But I'm being very harsh, it's part of the charm of the building.
