The rooms are spotless clean. The housekeeping team is doing very good job. Head in the clouds bar is a diamond of this resort. The barkeeper is doing amazing job and she can bring you your drinks to the pool. Everything from her was very tasty and Nice. Nice swimming pool, even if it's not with beach view. . The beach is scrubbed every day because of sandflies, that I'm finding really cool. Right behind the hotel is a bar owned by a czech guy and he is serving draught beer 🍺!! Every day comes a lady and sell home made coconut ice cream. You can find her every day around 4:00pm by the entrance to the hotel. The reception staff is able to make a cash change, if you run out of cash. For just 5% fee, that's cheaper then ATM ! 😍 Breakfast is a buffet style mostly and really tasty. Hotel transport can take you to the Seavanah Resort for a very nice massage, probably the best on the island. Right next to it is a Cococape Resort with very nice snorkeling area.
The main building area need some serious attention. One part is covered by some green plastic and there is some construction site. The entrance to the hotel dont actually even look like an entrance, a lot of stuff , parking plot and garbage around. Our AC stoped working one night , but the problem was solved next day by the technicians, nothing to complain about. WiFi is disaster. All around the hotel is very unstable. You need log in every 10min. Be aware of sand flies. The hotel staff is scrubbing hotel beach , but the rest of the beach is without this maintenance, so if you go for a walk around the beach, you can be 100% sure you'll be bitten by this creature. Next to the hotel is a small pharmacy and they are ready to sell you some local natural herb spray, that can help you after you have been bitten. Everything on Koh Mak is about 2x prize, like at the mainland, so get ready, it's not that cheap. Kayak / paddle rental isn't for hotel guest for free ? Seriously ? 🤔 Pool boys are cleaning the swimming pool every day - well done. But what about the rest of the swimming pool area? Used towels everywhere , the pool toilets are in very bad condition and not cleaned for many days I guess. I have seen the owners of the hotel many times in the area, but they don't greet or say hello to their guest. Just some " good morning, how are you sir / madame ", would be enough, but no 😏.

Great location, friendly helpful staff.
Room was very comfortable and the views great. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great selection of local restaurants close by.
A little dated from what was expected from the images but still ok.

Very pretty spot
Lovely place. Right on the beach. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was good.
Lots of ants in the room and the bathroom does let in lots of sand flies. It would be great if there were fly screens because then you could leave the doors open to let the breeze through. Ceiling fans would be a great addition as well.
