  Great accomodation to use as a base for exploring the Lakes.

  Beautiful cottage in gorgeous surroundings on Whitbarrow Village. The accommodation has everything you need for a self catering holiday and is kept to a high standard with a very cosy living area, full kitchen including dishwasher and dining area, balcony etc. As it's on Whitbarrow Village you have access to the amenities such as pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, gym and even has a small pool for children ( booking sessions is required for pool access). On site there is a restaurant, bar with gorgeous lounge area and family games in the grounds such as crazy golf, chess, frisbie golf etc. Plenty of walking routes accessible from Mallard Cottage. Ample parking in the large guests car park which you must use after unloading/loading. Parking outside the properties is not permitted due to the narrow streets of the village. Guests with limited mobility can be dropped off and picked up at the property but the vehicle should be parked in the car park thereafter (as instructed by Whitbarrow Village staff)

  Guests of other accomodations not adhering to the all vehicles to be parked in the car park after unloading/loading due to the cobbled 'street' being narrow. This makes it quite tight to maneuver around the parked vehicles.

  Leuke locatie om een paar dagen de omgeving te verkennen

  Leuk aangelegd park dat aanvoelt als een klein dorpje. Het huisje had alles wat we nodig hadden en het kleine zwembad op het park was een welkome afwisseling.

  De omgeving, de rust op het park. Het huisje zelf was schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien.

  Er was geen koffiezetapparaat, maar dit wisten we vooraf dus die hadden we al zelf meegenomen. De verduistering in de slaapkamers was niet volledig, waardoor we niet echt uit konden slapen, maar daardoor konden we ook op tijd aan de dag beginnen.

  Loved it!

  Second time here and loved it all again. Spacious and well kept

  Nothing bad to say! Just of the two staff we met one of them was not nice or polite. The same lady I actually encountered last year too who was rude.
