if you would like to know how paradise look like go to Mama Root. The place is a hidden gem in the village of Kizimkazi. The staff is great, breakfast is super tasty and the outdoor area with private access to the beach has very little competition in terms of beauty and relax

I’m hoping to come back and spend more time here… that should summarise it.
Wonderful beachside accommodation with rustic but artfully made up rooms. Food from the restaurant is superb. The entire vibe of the place is fantastic and genuinely part of an island feel that some of Zanzibar is starting to lose as it becomes more commercialised. Mama Root is where you go to slow down, and take in the scene.
