    Short break

    Large bedroom and good food! Very quiet considering it was above the pub.

    The room was large but tired and I could only manage to get tepid water from the shower. Broken coffee maker. On leaving the bedroom to make your way to the bar, the lighting was very poor and with a few steps to navigate, its an accident waiting to happen

    A lovely stay, thank you. Should we need to stay in the area again, this would be our first choice.

    Lovely, large room and top-class bed linen. Breakfast was amazing, staff were friendly and competent and evening dinner was great.

    Toilet seat was rather precarious - needs replacing with one which fits the toilet. Shower cubicle was not draining at all well and drain cover popped off and was floating on the water.

    Great experience all round.

    fantastic room...lovely staff and just perfect. I have family just up the hill and it was just so convenient. Great breakfast too. I've been visiting this place for over 60 years...but have never stayed before. It won't be the last

    all good.

    A good relaxing stay

    We selected the full English Breakfast which was superb. Our room was very spacious, clean and met our requirements.

    The very steep steps from the pub to our room.
