We loved the land and the staff but were disappointed by the activities and food.
The resort staff was exceptional in their service! They made everything about the stay more outstanding. Our room was very nice; well stocked with everything we needed and nicely designed. We loved the fireplace, the balcony, and all of the thoughtful supplies offered in the room. Check-in looked daunting upon arrival, because the line was to the door, but the staff made everything go unbelievably quick and were on hand for any questions. They made the whole process seamless. We also very much enjoyed the land itself. It's a beautiful area.
I wish we had known that there would be almost no activities available without booking them at least 24 hours in advance. Not only did Trip Forth not communicate this, but the resort staff also left out this information at check in. We would have definitely pre-booked had we known. While the room was pretty clean, it seems like the activity areas--the game center, the lounge (where the comedy club was held), and the eating areas were all in need of a good cleaning. It would also be awesome if the resort would update its menus, especially as its 2026 and many people now want truly healthy options on the menu. The food we had was mediocre at best, in terms of taste. The food and the lack of access to any activities was the overall let down of the entire experience and would likely have us not return.

Beautiful apartment in a very relaxing location.
The wooden stairs you climb to get into the building are in bad shape, and seem almost dangerous. Also, the elevator in the building was painfully slow.

Enjoyed a short stay at Massanutten for JMU parents weekend. Great location and we plan to return.
