  Disturbing travel experience due to host

  The apartment is ideally located, walking distance (5-7 min) from the direct metro or tram line. Its spacious for a couple.

  We had several issues with booking. Firstly, the host (property manager) was extremly rude. She was not happy that we didn't take the private parking and instead parked in the P+R. Secondly, at check-in the first morning, the main balcony window shutters were stuck/broken. We realized this immediately and informed the property manager. But, upon her arrival to the apartment she immediately started shouting, asked us to pay 50 euro and threatened to call police at the same time. We were shocked at the abrupt response. We were ok to pay the amount and together with her, agreed to come back to the apartment when the repair technician arrives. But during that day, we received several intimidating & bullying messages almost every hour on the phone. To the extent, that the host threatened to kick us out of the apartment. This led to ruining of our travel experience in Budapest. I contacted booking.com that night, who were sympathetic to the situation but couldn't help either (we agreed that this is not normal situtation), we also agreed with them to not complain officially during the stay which would make things worst. Apart from the main issue, the apartment facilities on booking.com mentioned the availability of washing machine but wasnt the case. The host told us that it wasnt in the photos of the apartment! Please also note that the apartment furniture quality is poor, including the bed in the bedroom - which is not comfortable for a couple to sleep comfortably (its about 140cm wide).

  I was a bit worried to be honest since I was coming here for the first time, but the host was really helpful and waited

  Most of all I liked the cleanliness of the apartment. It was also easy to find, nice and peaceful neighborhood and also well located, town centre not too far.
