Won’t be forgotten for the wrong reasons.
The apartment was spacious with three good sized rooms.
The apartment was hard to find. When we finally did locate it we discovered it was a first floor apartment over a petrol station by a roundabout. Not quite as shown… The decor was horrendously dated. Think scary 1970:s clowns and dramatic pictures. Bedding and towels were old. Electrics scary. Pièce de résistance was a microwave with stalactites of grease and crumbs on the tray. Owner wasn’t responsive to a request to clean. Disappointing.

A surprising success
Location to where we needed to be, although kind of off the beaten track. Loved being next to the school/community center.
Backyard deck still being renovated.

Ok as a base
Superb location. Very quiet and remote. Next door to a play park and swimming pool which the kids enjoyed. Close to many Golden Circle sites if you have a hire car.
Needs modernising as very dated. Dim lighting and very questionable electrics with leads all over. Many basic kitchen items missing such as tin opener and crockery. Only 3 cereal bowls and 3 tea cups for a house which sleeps 6 people. We had to take turns using the items and couldn’t always eat together. There’s a TV in the bedroom but nowhere to plug it in. The light switch for the living room is behind the fake fireplace (impossible to find when you arrive late and tired).

Very recommended
We took entire apartment. It was super clean and comfortable. Host were super kind and welcoming. The location is fantastic, right in the golden circle. We recommend this propertu.
The shower was a bit small with very small sink.
