MCM Elegante is a very nice hotel. We have stayed there before and will stay there again.
The front desk clerk was very nice and efficient. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was superb.
The only “hiccup” we encountered was that we had requested early check-in, and it just wasn’t available. The clerk did offer to store our bags for us as we were going to the Texas Tech football game. Other than this, everything was great!

Location was good and the free breakfast was great. Staff was also friendly.
The property was run-down and dirty from the lobby and elevator to the room and my initial room was unacceptable. The bed had numerous hairs and black spots, I don’t think they were bedbugs, on the mattress, and there was no mattress protector between the sheet and mattress. After I complained, I was moved to a room on a higher floor. The mattress in that room appeared cleaner, but there was still no mattress protector. More concerning, the safety lock on the door did not work. I contacted maintenance, and the maintenance worker told me that the door did not even have the hole necessary for the safety lock to function. I was extremely uncomfortable with the cleanliness and safety issues, but I ultimately decided to stay in the second room because the bed appeared cleaner. Unfortunately, after taking a shower, I discovered that the bathtub was still full of standing water five minutes later, indicating a drainage problem. This experience fell far below reasonable expectations for a hotel stay. Between the unsanitary condition of the first mattress, the lack of mattress protection, the nonfunctional door safety lock, and the bathtub drainage issue, the property did not provide the clean, safe, and functional accommodations I paid for. I am requesting a refund due to the unacceptable condition of the property and the multiple issues I experienced. I hope Booking.com will take these concerns seriously and help resolve this matter.
