    The food service was overpriced and the wait was over 2 hours. The breakfast included is not good value for money. It’ll be better if it was a buffet table instead of waiting for so long.

    Beautiful views, lovely staff and a relaxing setting, but disappointing breakfast service and serious accessibility limi

    Peppers Clear Mountain is in a beautiful location with absolutely stunning views. The property has clearly undergone some renovations, and overall, it’s a lovely place to escape for a night away. The staff were friendly, welcoming and pleasant throughout our stay. Our room was comfortable and generally clean, and the peaceful surroundings made for a relaxing getaway. There are a few quirky features, including some incredibly squeaky floorboards, but these add a little character!

    Unfortunately, breakfast was a real disappointment. We waited over 30 minutes just to receive our tea and coffee, followed by another half an hour for scrambled eggs and bacon. An hour is an excessive wait for such a simple breakfast, and the gluten-free bread was particularly unpleasant. Accessibility is another significant concern. The property has numerous stairs and no lifts, making it extremely difficult for guests with mobility limitations. While ramps are provided in some areas, several lead directly to more stairs, which rather defeats their purpose! This is something potential guests with disabilities really need to be aware of before booking. Housekeeping could also use a little more attention to detail. Although our room was generally clean, there were makeup marks on the back of the bathroom door and someone else’s hair in the shower.
