It was a beautiful stay at the lodge with cozy rooms and good view from balcony . Very close to famous trails in cascade

Don’t stay here, find somewhere else.
It was clean, comfortable, quiet and within easy walking distance to downtown.
Although they claim to have WiFi they really don’t. The signal was so weak that I never could use it. One or two bars and occasionally three bars. It didn’t matter. I was never able to get on line. I used my phone as a hotspot but the cell signal was so weak it only worked periodically. There was a Panasonic TV and a Samsung remote. I had to have an employee come and fiddle around the back to turn it on. The channel selector was a Dish remote. With no TV remote it was impossible to get out of zoom mode. I couldn’t see the baseball score, pitch count, what inning it was, how many base runners there were, or anything on the outer edge of the screen. I also couldn’t see how to turn off the TV when I went to bed. I had to hang towels over the screen to darken the room somewhat. Management is asleep at the wheel at this joint. These are two reasons to bypass this hotel.

Solid place to stay at Winthrop! Hope to try the cabins next time!
Pretty quiet. Nice river view. Conveniently off the main road to go to the town center and other things like groceries and gas. Comfortable bed. Always appreciate the waffle maker being available for the morning continental breakfast.
The wifi wasn't exactly stable and the hot water seemed to struggle when being used on one of the nights.
