    Nice cottage in an excellent location

    Excellent location, kitchen well equipped & comfy sitting room. Lots of hot water & easy to set room temp. The bottle of prosecco was a nice touch. The parking permit was really appreciated as we had 2 cars and only space for one at the property.

    Shower door was very dodgy, kept coming off its runner. Beds probably need new mattress & the whole place needs a deep clean.

    Poor stay due to poor management

    Both sofas reeked of wet dog! The whole place needs a deep clean. We had no hot water until Saturday afternoon when someone came out. We had no idea where the boiler was, turns out it is behind a wooden panel. No heating and the electricity tripped. All in all a disaster. The property really needs better management because there are loads of random glasses, mostly 3 of each, so I assume there have been breakages and no replacements.

    Good for dog owners

    The place is in a good location. No onsite parking was not a problem as there is a permit for the car park just opposite and the permit was valid for other High Peak car parks

    The place smelled of dogs when we arrived. Towels were musty. Dishwasher did not heat up, which may be why the plates in the cupboard were unclean. No response from Sykes support when we raised the issue online.

    Great location but the property could do with a bit of investment.

    Conveniently located for walks and the town

    Interior outdated. Shower cracked and the place seemed dirty but I think it was just tired. Decor from Christmas in July seemed a bit pre mature, or just left from 2025! Worn furniture and bed.
