  Comfortable stay - close to beach and central Eastbourne

  Very spacious apartment with lovely large balcony with a good view.

  A Disaster The Eastbourne Air Show Was Great !

  The key had to be collected from an address we were given This was about six miles from our apartment and we found a security box on the door frame, The address was not occupied. We had travelled by train and the Taxi fare was £27.!

  On arrival we checked the folder for details of the neighbourhood shops, restaurants, bars ,etc. The details in the folder read " MEAD" We assumed this to be our locality. On a subsiquent bus trip we realised that Mead was a village about six miles from our apartment and we were given the wrong apartment folder.! Quite useless! The description for this apartment was entirely mis representing what we expected . For instance. "Balcony furnished with Outdoor Furniture" Five cheap plastic Chairs. "Ideal for Fresco Dining" No Table and two small. "A car is not necessary" A car is Essential . At least a 20 minute walk to any amenities, . Try that in 34 degrees or pouring rain" Excellent Transport Links and Local Facilities" 1 bus every hour too harbour, no late buses. The only bus to Eastbourne Centre ,3 miles away. We never did find the Swimming Pool or Leisure Centre Our first day we found A number of problems and reported them to the property management company. Some were corrected during the afternoon but some had not been addressed or were longer term problems with the apartment such as bath showers that did not work , double doors that would not open or lock ,Sink and bath plugs that do not fit Cheap furnishings , including an 8 gallon beer keg in the bathroom ( empty !) a kettle drum as a bedside table ,no drum sticks !And a cheap metal stand as a wardrobe. No chairs in the bedrooms and just a cheap body wash and hand jell in the bathroom .No instructions for the kitchen equipment. I do not believe the washing machine worked anyway
