Miombo Mews ist ein bewachte Wohnanlage am Rande von Victoria Falls. Das hat den Vorteil, dass der Lärm der Hubschrauber, die über den Fällen kreisen, nicht präsent ist. Die Wohnung ist sehr groß; über 2 Etagen. Unten Wohnzimmer und eine große komplett ausgestattete Küche, in der 1. Etage zwei Schlafzimmer mit je einem Balkon und Bad. In den Zimmern sind große Schränke vorhanden und jeweils eine Klimaanlage und ein Ventilator. Es gibt einen kleinen Garten und eine überdachte Terrasse. Bei uns hat es einen Abend heftig geregnet. Zum Frühstück kann man sich 3 verschiedene Restaurants aussuchen, in die man kostenlose gefahren wird. Der Fahrer wartet bis man fertig ist. Wir waren im Lookout Café und im Baines. Beides wunderbare Restaurants direkt am Sambesi. Von dort sind es nur wenige Minuten bis zu den Fällen oder in den Ort. Wir sind immer eine Tour in die Unterkunft gelaufen, ca.25 Minuten. Das Taxi in Victoria Falls kostet immer 10 $, egal wie weit. Das Personal sehr hilfsbereit, hat uns beim Verlust des Koffers am Flughafen erfolgreich unterstützt und den High Tea im Victoria Falls Hotel gebucht. Das kann ich nur empfehlen, ohne Reservierung kommt man nicht rein. Immer wieder gern Miombo Mews. Danke besonders Courtney.
