    Perfect in every way, from the moment we arrived on the island until the goodbyes and hugs from the staff.

    Experience of a lifetime

    Room was stunning. View to mountains and hotel Japanese garden also stunning.Haiseki 10 course tasting menu was superb both night.Our waiter Kyoma was a delight- introducing each course. By staying overnight on the island we were able to see shrine at low and high tide and get ahead of the queues for the ropeway. The other staff were nothing short of brilliant at reception and organising shuttle buses etc.Onsen wonderful.

    An unforgettable stay — peaceful, elegant, and genuinely caring staff

    Hotel Arimato is the epitome of elegance — quiet, tranquil, and peaceful in a way that immediately settles your mind. From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm and intentional. Their shuttle pickup and drop‑off from the port made the whole experience seamless, and it set the tone for the kind of care they consistently showed throughout our stay. The staff were exceptional — polite, professional, and always communicative. They answered all my questions by email, confirmed our preferred times for breakfast, dinner, and room cleaning, and checked if we needed anything else. Their personalised service made us feel genuinely important. A special thank you to Yurika, who took us to our room, explained everything clearly, measured my yukata, and attended to us at every meal. She walked us to the door after each breakfast and dinner and always wished us a pleasant day or good night. And Shonobu left a lasting impression with his sincerity. When we departed, he bowed deeply as soon as we entered the car and remained bowed until we backed out. He then moved to the street, bowed again, and waved us off until we were out of sight. It was incredibly moving.

    The light in the bathroom was a bit dim. But it wasn't a deal breaker.
