    I loved the location, and the size. Would definitely stay again.

    The machiya was not well restored in minimalist style, contemporary but preserving the simplicity and the ambience of the original machiya. Space was limited but still allowed for 3 comfortable bedrooms, each with its own complete bathroom.

    I slept in the tatami room on a traditional futon. I feel it could have been more comfortable. But the room was beautiful.

    Beautiful house with excellent amenities. Location was great and walking distance from many of the highlights of Kyoto.
