Well equipped apartment, but wouldn't stay again as unable to sleep
Property was near many amenities and train station, really clean, well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Check in was super easy, even with our last minute booking which made for a smooth arrival
It was impossible to sleep. VERY thin blind meaning daylight streamed through in both rooms from 4.30am until 10.30pm and loud, heavy street noise (buses, cars, motorbikes etc) all night long. We ended up buying a stick on black out blind and white noise machine for our daughters room and eyemasks and earplugs for us. £80 extra cost for a short stay. Contacted the owners but they didn't seem to care, saying 'it's just Scotland in summer'. All that is needed is some curtains for the light as a minimum. Tried to sleep on sofa but very lumpy, and also a watch out that the bed frames are small (I'm 5ft 4 and my feet hit the end, my partner was way over the hard frame at the end). Photo included, and pic of bedroom light taken about 9.30pm at night. Also requested a late check out so my partner could nap to make the long drive safer (as didn't sleep all night) but there are VERY strict check out times with no flexibility (despite 6hrs between check out and check in for future guests), a little empathy and kindness would have been appreciated.
