  Did not stay - health and hygiene concerns.

  The location. Islands Brygge is a lovely part of Copenhagen, the building is well placed for the harbour and Amager Fælled, and the views are as described.

  We booked four nights and did not stay. We arrived, looked at the apartment, and checked out the same evening. We received no refund of any kind. The apartment had been cleaned at a surface level, but the detail had not been done. The microwave had dried food on the turntable and food spatter across the interior and door seal. The oven trays were in a similar state. The kettle had food debris lodged around the control buttons. The espresso machine had liquid residue and limescale around the group head, drip tray and steam wand. In the bathroom there was residue on the taps, toilet and mirror, and debris and hair in the basin drain and overflow. I photographed all of it on arrival. We were told the apartment is the host's primary residence only in the check-in message on the day of arrival. A lived-in home would not have troubled us, but the fridge and freezer were given over to the host's own open and part-used food and medicines. As a medical practitioner I was not comfortable storing or preparing our food alongside it. I raised everything with the host that evening and offered to be out of the apartment while it was put right. We heard nothing from the host until after our call with Booking.com, who contacted him on our behalf. By the time we received his chat message, we had booked a hotel at our own cost. His offer was to send a cleaner the following afternoon. The host acknowledged in writing that the apartment preparation should have been better. He then told me he had referred the matter to Booking.com and would respect the outcome of their review. There was no review to defer to: Booking.com confirmed that a refund can only be authorised by the property. When asked directly, he declined to authorise one. To conclude: an apartment we could not use, an acknowledgement that it fell short, our money taken without a service provided, and nothing done about it two weeks later.

  Wonderful and amazing experience

  Place was very amazing the bus front of the door And apartment was incredible clean and designed very well for small families we really enjoyed we stay for 7 days and we hope to be more we still not explored the beautiful city Copenhagen

  The apartment was a clean and comfortable haven outside of the centre of Copenhagen but with easy connections (water bus and bus and a metro line a bit further afield) to get into the city. Key features are a large living area, fully equipped kitchen, easy access to a large green space and swimming area and a balcony. There’s a good sized supermarket close by. The hosts were very responsive to any questions/requests. All in all a top notch place to stay.
